1. Ad-Hoc inspections: Individual one off inspection activities at final inspection stage to verify “Fitness for Purpose” prior to dispatch to client.

2. Stage inspections; according to client instructions and / or approved Inspection and Test plans.

3. Resident inspection; monitoring of production, quality control and testing activities from start of manufacturing through to delivery.

The dedicated office coordinator works closely with our client to identify exactly the level of service required and then subsequently to identify the level of technical expertise / experience required and based on that select the best qualified / most local inspector available.

From the very start of any activities the dedicated coordinator is fully involved in setting up the order and providing the inspector with all necessary documents / instructions to perform the assigned tasks. The coordinator follows up closely with the inspector to ensure inspection schedules are set and achieved, communications are dealt with promptly and any support the inspector needs is provided.

With an extensive network of experienced Pipe mill Inspection personnel available through OIG, we provide first class service in the provision of Pipemill Inspection services. The experience of our personnel, coupled with the use of latest technologies and specialist training, ensures that we provide our clients with the very best levels of quality of service and turn around of information.

OIG has qualified mill inspectors with vast experience covering all types of Pipemill production processes be it; Welded (SAW, TIG, ERW and Spiral), Seamless (Cold Draw, Mandrel).

Additionally OIG has a base of highly qualified Induction bending shop Inspectors, coating plant Inspectors to fulfill client Project needs.

The key to providing a service level above the norm is the experience of the personnel. When it comes to the provision of experienced pipe mill, bend shop and coating inspectors we at OIG use those inspectors with extensive experience and expertise, these inspectors are known and respected by the OIG client base within the Pipe mill industry.

From the start of each individual project until final deliveries a dedicated technical coordinator provides the Inspection team and the client with the necessary support to ensure the job runs smoothly and to the highest possible quality standards.

OIG offers a comprehensive range of construction/project site inspection and testing services. This includes various specialized disciplines, methods and techniques. These services extend from the provision of complete site project teams (undertaking all facets of site inspection, testing and associated technical services) to single individuals undertaking a specific assignment.

Personnel are available in all disciplines including welding, nondestructive testing, mechanical, rotating equipment, paint and/or coatings, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, HVAC, and more.

For example, on pipeline construction projects, OIG can provide a complete team of internationally experienced personnel including the Chief Inspector, Welding/NDT, Utility, Right-of-Way, Environmental, Safety, Coatings, SCADA, Technical Clerks, and any other positions as required.

OIG is being implemented a Quality Management System to ISO 9001 – 2000 within its offices and field personnel are provided with detailed instructions on the key aspects involved in the execution of the assigned activities.
When clients and/or specific project needs dictate then specific project instructions are drawn up and distributed to personnel assigned to these projects.

Field personnel are provided with detailed assignment instructions which clearly identify exactly what activities they are assigned with and details of any specific customer requirements and expectations.

OIG and all personnel employed by OIG are dedicated to providing the best possible service to their clients. A crucial element of this is obviously reporting, this must be as precise as possible to enable our clients to fully understand what is happening to their order. All available tools / methods are utilized to relay this information to clients as clearly as possible.

Digital imagery is used where allowed to enhance the report content. Reports can be prepared on our own report forms or on report formats provide by clients, all latest soft and hardware is available to ensure that all formats can be processed.
