With project deadline and schedules being calculated with less and less room for delay of any kind the importance of professional expediting resources grows ever more critical. The old fashioned approach of starting the expediting process once the order is already in delay is no longer likely to result in timely delivery. Project teams have come to realize the importance of planning expediting activities along with their inspection activities.

OIG is able to provide comprehensive expediting services ranging from desk / telephone expediting, through vendor visits to full time monitoring and project coverage for the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and Mining Industries. We can provide experienced and highly qualified technical personnel from an extensive pool of personnel available throughout the world.
 
     
  Range of activities performed / services provided include  
  Field Expediting:  
 
Field Expediting provides clients with a comprehensive review of the exact status of their order and any on site action to rectify any potential problem areas. Our expediters are experienced professionals who, by virtue of their technical backgrounds, are able to quickly verify progress against schedules, spot any potential bottlenecks and point out any quality issues that may lead to eventual delays. Our expediters remain in close contact with the client and, wherever possible, provide a verbal close out call prior to leaving the works. During this call the client is briefed on the results of the visit and a discussion regarding continued activities is also held. This ensures that the client has the latest information available and if necessary can update the field expediter on any changes in project priorities / needs.
 
       
  Full time Monitoring / Project Coverage :    
 
Full time monitoring / project coverage activities provide clients with continuous in depth progress information and immediate action by the expediter as soon as problems become apparent. This ensures that schedules are maintained in line with the specific project needs. For full time expediting needs, whether for an individual order or for a specific project, a dedicated expediter will be provided to liaise directly with the client ensuring the most direct lines of communication. This ensures that the client interfaces directly with the assigned expediter and information exchange is as efficient as possible.
   
       
  Expediting Procedures :    
 
OIG is being implemented a Quality Management System to ISO 9001 – 2000 within its offices and field personnel are provided with detailed instructions on the key aspects involved in the execution of the assigned activities.
When clients and/or specific project needs dictate then specific project instructions are drawn up and distributed to personnel assigned to these projects.
Field personnel are provided with detailed assignment instructions which clearly identify exactly what activities they are assigned with and details of any specific customer requirements and expectations.
